Calendar of Events

We'll be treated to baubles, bangles, beads and artwork as beader and artist Nancy Neumann hosts us at her Paradise Valley home studio. An optional, no-host lunch is being planned to follow; stay tuned for location.

With the holidays right around the corner, what a wonderful opportunity to see what this iconic Scottsdale Gallery is offering. Featuring a display of contemporary and traditional art, a gallery owner will also be on hand for Q & A. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. (This event occurs just before that evening's Art Walk kicks off.)

This fabulous nonprofit school emphasizes college prep and the preforming arts. Imagine walking the halls of the high school in Fame! The school will treat us to cookies and beverages after our tour.

The Arizona Opera invites AZWA behind the scenes to see how the fabulous performance costumes are fabricated. An optional no-host lunch will follow at Alexi's Grill, 3550 N Central Ave., Phoenix.

The lovely Marshall Gallery is the site of this visit, where ten women artists will be present to share their insights into their work. A no-host optional lunch will follow at the Scottsdale landmark Sugar Bowl restaurant.

We'll announce our two inaugural Grant Winners, enjoy refreshments, and explore Shemer's galleries. Plus you'll receive our official Save-The-Date for AZWA's 18 adventures in the 2023-2024 season.

Join biographer and AZWA member Judy Pearson as she discusses her new book. The philanthropic powerhouse Mary Lasker was not only a phenomenal art collector, she invented American medical research funding and took on the White House to shepherd through the National Cancer Act. Cookies and refreshments will top off the afternoon.

Tour Free Arts' new Parson's Place! This marvelous organization creates safe places for at risk children to express themselves artistically. Optional no host lunch following at Ely's Cafe, 100 E Camelback (4 doors N of AJ's)

Gather and enjoy a glass of complimentary wine while we view paintings by AZWA member Patsy "Skyline" Lowry. Known for her bold and cheery colors, Patsy brings her stunning florals to this Paradise Valley gallery. She and curator Cece Cole will will be on hand as well.

An optional no-host dinner follows at the resort's Hearth '61.

Since its founding in 1929, the Heard Museum has been dedicated to the advancement of American Indian art. It has grown in size and stature to become recognized internationally for the quality of its collections and world-class exhibitions. This docent-led tour will be followed by a private, no host lunch at the museum cafe. 

A curator-led tour of the 100 year old Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, whose sanctuary features beautiful faceted stained-glass windows. Then we’ll visit the cathedral’s Olney Art Gallery, one of the premier art galleries in Arizona. A no host lunch will follow, location TBD.

Music is the language of the soul! Join us for a daytime tour of MIM’s more than 8,000 instruments from more than 200 countries, and galleries reflecting the rich diversity and history of many world cultures. A no host lunch in the MIM café will be offered at 11:00, prior to the tour. MIM members tour at no charge.

GO GREEN at this wonderful Garden Brunch, at the home of a Master Gardener, in the historic F.Q. Story neighborhood. We'll learn how to construct a patio/balcony planter. Brunch will be served under her pergola. Please list the dish you'll share when you RSVP.

We've combined the best of two worlds - sharing favorite books, and happy hour!

Bring your favorite read, share with the group why you loved it, and swap it for someone else's to take home. No host wine, cocktails, but we'll provide the hors d'oeuvres.

Get a jump on the year of the rabbit with dinner at this iconic Chinese eatery! Cash bar, costumes encouraged. A portion of each ticket will go toward our grant fund.

Need a little holiday break? Join us for dinner and a movie discussion! Watch Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans at a convenient
theatre prior to the 29th to join in the discussion. We'll provide wine and salad, let us know if you're able to bring a vegetable or protein  dish to share.
